PURPOSE OF THIS DOCUMENT
The purpose of this policy is to:
1. Describe how Phoenix AirV collects and uses personal information.
2. Comply with the VATSIM Special Operations Policy.
3. Project the members of Phoenix AirV.
APPLICABILITY
This policy applies to any current or former Phoenix AirV member or member who has applied to Phoenix AirV.
Data Collection and use
Phoenix AirV does not sell, share or rent personal information to others and all personal information is contained within Phoenix AirV domains only.
The information we collect from you is:
• Full Name
• Email Address
• IP Address
• VATSIM CID
• ACARS Portal PIN (Encrypted)
By applying to Phoenix AirV on our website(s) you are agreeing to Phoenix AirV collecting your data as listed above and as such may only be used by Phoenix AirV. We use the information listed above to create your pilot profile on acars.pnxairv.org.
VATSIM user rights
Phoenix AirV is a VATSIM Partner and therefore will comply with the VATSIM User Policies.
As a VATSIM users have a number of rights, including but not limited to:
• A right to be informed about why we collect your data.
• A right to access your data and view the data collected on you. This data will be released to you on written request. To protect the privacy of VATSIM staff members the names of individual staff members making entries on your record and other security measures may be redacted:
• A right to rectify data you believe to be inaccurate.
• The right to request your personal data be erased from the Phoenix AirV. This will result in the termination of your Phoenix AirV membership.
Data retention
Phoenix AirV will retain the information you submit during your initial application to aid in re-application or prevent members who have been permanently removed from Phoenix AirV due to policy breaches.
Cookies
Phoenix AirV may use cookies on our sites. A cookie is a piece of data stored on your hard drive which is used to track you through our site and for network security. Phoenix AirV has no access to or control over these cookies.
Surveys
From time to time Phoenix AirV may request a general information from you during a survey. These surveys are conducted through Google Forms and the information collect remains within the Google form are not transcribed or shared elsewhere.
Amendments
Any amendments to this policy will be notified through the Phoenix AirV Discord.
